Aims and objectives
The chest X-ray (CXR) is considered an essential examination in diagnostic radiology for neonates for a range of potential pathological conditions [1]. Neonates are particularly sensitive to radiation dose compared with the adults due to long life anticipation and having fast mitotic action of the cells. Consequently, the radiation dose should be kept as low as possible without losing image quality [2].
