Al-Zahra University (peace be upon her) for women,holds an awareness workshop on drugs and their harmful effects

The Department of Internal Affairs, in cooperation with the Department of Continuing Education at Al-Zahra University (peace be upon her) for women,held an awareness workshop entitled: (Drugs: Their causes and prevention), presented by Dr. Alaa Aziz Karim, from the Community Police in Karbala Governorate, on Sunday 1/22/2023, at 11:00 am, at the Umm Abiha Hall. The doctor spoke about the need to combat drugs and how to prevent them, the reasons for the deviation of young people and their direction to this path, and he explained the challenges facing students in Iraqi society. The Director of the Department of Internal Affairs, Eng. Zahraa Siham Hindi delivered a speech and explained the psychological aspect, which is the first and foremost among the several causes of the spread of drug addiction, and the need for family care and embracing their children in the first place. The workshop concluded with the honoring of Dr. Alaa Aziz by Ms. Zahraa Hindi. It is worth noting that this workshop is an active initiative targeting the evils of the society and creating awareness among the students and the society in general about the hazards of drugs.
