The College of Engineering and Information Technology is included in the student guide for admission to universities and private colleges.

In conjunction with the preparations of Al-Zahraa University for women to receive and accept preparatory school students into the university’s colleges, its departments, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research launched the student’s guide for admission to private universities and colleges for the new academic year.

The guide published on the Ministry’s official website and the electronic portal of the Department of Private University Education includes the conditions and controls for accepting students into private universities and colleges, the general principles adopted by the electronic application system for morning and evening studies, admission channels, application mechanisms, minimum limits for application, and admission inputs for the academic year 2023/2024.

While the page for Al-Zahraa University for women included, for the first time, two important departments: the Department of Cybersecurity Engineering and the Department of Artificial Intelligence Engineering, which were created within the College of Engineering and Information Technology in line with the massive information revolution that swept the world, to fill the shortage in this specialization in institutions. Governmental and private sectors as a result of the great technological development and to supply the labor market with various specializations that serve the country and keep pace with rapid global development.

It is noteworthy that the cybersecurity engineering specialty focuses on protecting computer systems and networks from electronic threats and cyber attacks. The Artificial Intelligence Engineering specialty focuses on applying modern technologies to make systems and software learn and adapt themselves and to develop smart applications that suit the needs of the market and society. The two departments will provide distinguished career opportunities for female graduates in all state institutions and the private sector in order to provide effective solutions to the problems of cybersecurity and artificial intelligence technologies.
