A comprehensive ministerial meeting, Al-Zahra University, peace be upon her, calls for work on the outputs of the Committee for the Development of the Reality of Private Education and the development of new scientific disciplines.


During a ministerial meeting organized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the General Authority for Private Universities and Colleges, and in the presence of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research (Prof. Dr. Nabil Abdel-Saheb) and the advanced ministerial staff, the President of Al-Zahra University (peace be upon her) called on the academic community to adopt ministerial initiatives.A mission that aims to develop the reality of private education in Iraq ,In light of the of the formation of the Ministry of Higher Education – by a prior meeting – the Ministerial Committee for the Development and Upgrading of Private Education.The university president is one the member of the concerned committee formed. She expressed her optimism about the recommendations made by the committee that came out after organizing several meetings Headed by Prof. Qais Al-Sabbagh, President of Uruk University, and a number of university presidents and deans of different colleges.
Mrs. Al-Sultani, during her intervention in the meeting, also demanded the adoption of the initiative to allow private universities to develop new scientific specializations, even if the specialization does not have a counterpart in government universities, and to involve private education in the membership of the deans’ committees, and to reconsider the issue of managing the deanships of pharmacy colleges due to the lack of scientific titles in this specialty, because the issue is related to fulfilling the legal formality of the university councils, pointing out that it is necessary to enact laws to serve the community and to place decisions according to the needs and requirements of the labor market.
Calling to allow those with relevant specializations in faculties of pharmacy to assume the position of dean if they have administrative experience and competence.
Finally, (Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Mulla) pointed out the need for the Ministry to reconsider the issue of activating the uniform as a code that provides a distinguished identity to the concerned university and to its students and is successful in eliminating class differences between students.
