Iraq Receives International Accreditation from the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME)


 

The World Federation for Medical Education has granted the National Council for Accreditation of Medical Schools in Iraq (NCAMC) full international accreditation at the level of programs and standards evaluation within areas consecrated to medical education quality.

According to a statement issued by (WFME) in a letter the recognition committee of the World Federation concluded its vote and agreed to recognize the NCAMC for a period extending until 2034. Thus the National Council for the Accreditation of Medical Schools in Iraq is accredited in its policies and procedures to ensure the quality of medical education.

On this auspicious occasion, the President of the Al- Zahraa University, Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani and the University senior staff, extend heartfelt congratulations to His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, on this unprecedented historical achievement for Iraq. Undoubtedly, this status of international accreditation attained for the first time, represents the culmination of the tireless efforts deployed by our sober national educational institutions, which have realized with confidence, responsibility and in a record time aspirations of the medical education community in Iraq.
