Revival of the Holy Month: A cultural festival held by Al-Zahraa University for Women.


At the table of the month of goodness and blessings and within the framework of the interest of Al-Zahraa University for Women in organizing and sponsoring activities and cultural events, the Department of Continuing Education, in cooperation with the College of Education and the Department of Student Activities, held the second annual festival entitle: (Reviving the Holy Month), on Monday corresponding to 3/4/ 2023, at Umm Abeha Hall.
The President of Al-Zahraa University for Women: Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, Vice President for Scientific Affairs: Prof. Zuhair Muhammad Ali Jadoua, and Dean of the College of Education: Prof. Dr. Eman Samir Bahia attended the festival. Also, a group of guests from the Holy Hussain Shrine, the Health and Education Authority, Al-Nusour and Al-Khwarizmi Schools, as well as the heads of departments and a group of teaching and administrative staff and female students attended the festival.
The festival opened with a fragrant recitation of the Holy Quran recited by the female student: Zainab Ahmed, the reading of Surat Al-Fatihah and the prayer of Faraj recited by the female student: Maryam Malik.
The President of Al-Zahraa University for Women, Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, gave a lecture entitled: (Fasting. “Life and Liberation”).
The festival included many paragraphs, including: a Ramadan song presented by female students of the Arabic Language Department, a poem about Imam Ali (PBUH) said by the student: Jannat Essam from Al-Nusour Private School, and a song: (You tired me, heart) said by the female student: Maryam Malik, and a song: (Habibi Ya Hussein), presented by a group of male and female students from Al-Nisour Private School. The festival also included verses of poetry about Imam Hassan (PBUH) presented by the female student: Nabaa Sattar Hamid.
In addition to a song entitle: (Majina, Ya Majina), recited by a group of children from Al-Nisour School and Al-Khwarizmi School.
In conclusion, certificates of thanks and appreciation were presented to those who participated and contributed to the cultural program of the festival.
On the sidelines of the festival, an art exhibition of the Holy Husseiniya Shrine was held, as well as a bazaar contained paintings, collectibles, and antiques dating back to ancient periods, handicrafts, and books of all kinds.
